
Surprisingly, Alicia Keys is no stranger to acting. Her acting
career stretches as far back as the popular 80’s sitcom “The Cosby
Show.” Keys’ appeared on an episode titled “Slumber Party” where
she played one of Rudy Huxtable’s sleepover mates.

Keys major film debut came in 2007 in the action-crime flick “Smokin’
Aces” where Keys played the role of assassin Georgia Sykes. “Smokin’
Aces” featured a star studded cast featuring the likes of Ben Affleck,
Ray Liota, Ryan Reynolds, Andy Garcia, and Jeremy Pivens. Fellow
musician and Keys’ personal friend Common also starred in the movie.

Later on in 2007 Alicia Keys would join Scarlett Johansson and Chris
Evans in the film “The Nanny Diaries.” Keys starred as the role of
Lynette. “The Nanny Diaries” the movie is based on Emma McLaughlin
and Nicola Kraus’ popular 2002 novel of the same name.

Presently, Alicia Keys is slated to appear in the motion picture “The
Secret Life of Bees.” Other actors set to star in the film include Queen
Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, and Dakota Fanning. “The Secret Life of
Bees” is expected to be released in 2009.
